The new regime that took over in Pakistan a month ago have exposed its incompetence in bettering the relations with the neighboring country—India.
Incapability of the dispensation got exposed when the incumbent foreign minister, Bilawal Bhutto instead of paving way for the dialogue process and bonhomie between the countries, clearly revealed that the doors are closed for the dialogue with the neighbouring country.
Pakistan’s Foreign minister has during his maiden visit to United States mentioned the country’s relationship with India is particularly complicated by the recent actions in Kashmir—firstly the August 5, 2019 decision to abrogate Article 370 in J&K as well as the recent decision by the delimitation commission on the Union Territory, claiming that such actions have made it very difficult for us to hold dialogue with India.
In such a way, the country has got exposed in terms of its incompetence in ensuring bonhomie with mighty India.
In the past couple of decades, the people across the Valley have borne the brunt of Pakistan’s approach as the country has been dreaming of taking over this side of Kashmir and has been doing every bid to make the changes happen.
However, in their efforts of changing the status quo, thousands of people have either lost their lives or suffered injuries while many also disappeared, but the day-dreaming of the country remained a far-off dream.
There are hundreds of families across Kashmir, who are presently suffering day-in and day-out due to Pakistan’s approach. One fails to understand how the unachievable targets are being set, which not only shatter the dreams of many, but also wastage of time.
It is imperative to think of what is achievable and thus the people at the helm of affairs need to change their mindset for the wellbeing of people and take measures to pave way for the dialogue so that bonhomie is ensured on the ground and the local populace could heave a sigh of relief.
