Roadblock Removal—UP’s Appreciable Move

The government in Uttar Pradesh led by Chief Minister Yogi Adiyanath has come up with unique and appreciable measures with regard to the roadblocks, which is seemingly a step towards ensuring better and smooth passage to the vehicular movement.
The Chief Minister has made it clear to ensure that the roadblocks on the roads are put to an immediate end while focusing on several measures including action against mafias, middle-men and the roadside parking, which he believes is leaving the people especially the pregnant women, who are in need of medical treatment are being pushed to the wall.
Such measures are the need of the hour and must be implemented as soon as possible. These mafias and the middle-men, who genuinely have turned the lives of people miserable on the roads of Uttar Pradesh and other States, must be removed to ensure the smooth passage to the commuters.
The move would certainly end the threat of lives, belongings and also safe passage to the commuters and thus become imperative and necessary at this point of time.
However, the appreciable measure must not be on the communal lines, but whosoever would be involved in such a practice must be dealt with strictly as per the law. There are people who are apprehensive that the fresh measures that will be implemented after awareness would only be on the communal lines as some of the recent incidents have created a wedge between the government and the people.
Therefore, in order to address the concerns, there is a need to ensure that the action would be taken against one and all irrespective of their religion, caste and other related things.
In view of the roadblocks in J&K, the LG Administration should also take a cue from the Uttar Pradesh dispensation and come with the measures to take the norm violators to the task.
