The family mother-son relations has jeopardized the entire edifice of All India Congress Committee (AICC) as the leaders, who are quitting the party in a spree, especially in Jammu and Kashmir, are exposing each and every moment of ignorance by the leadership.
However, some of the comments made by the leaders so far are raising fingers on the political career and their motives towards the party.
The war of words between Ghulam Nabi Azad and some other leaders have made some shocking claims while some statements put a question mark over patriotism and immoral politics as well.
Congress General Secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh had termed Azad as the only Muslim leader with a respectful, grass-root career, having a sane voice to accommodate opposition on both fronts, be it Centre or State. But after his exit, the leader has said that his DNA has “Modi-fied”.
Such a dissimilar treatment meted out to a single political leader by the party man, is akin to questioning the credibility of Muslim identity within the party as the speculations are on rife and the supportive statements coming to the fore from Azad is indicating that he is seemingly tying a knot with the ones, whom he opposed tooth and nail in the past 50 years, particularly from the last eight years.
The contrary positions shown by Azad within and after quitting the party would possibly leave a blot on Muslim identity within the party and their patriotism as well. Thus, in such cases, the blood and sweat given by the Muslim leaders of Congress to the party would possibly be dubious and doubtful for many of the Congressmen due to the actions and statements of the former stalwart of the party.
Ostensibly, Azad’s exit has created a wedge between the Muslim leaders and the leadership of Congress, who would certainly find it tough to make the grounds and relations stronger once again to play a key role within the party like the past.
